A contest named ‘Independence – nation’s happiness’

Dear students!
Kazakhstan has been a sovereign country for 20 years.
Within this period our young country has overcome many obstacles and difficulties and left its own mark in history. In its proof, numerous international meetings and conferences held in our beautiful capital Astana. And if you, as a fair citizen, are eager to express your love and passion for your country, then do not stay behind!
‘KATEV’ International Foundation is holding a contest ‘Independence – nation’s happiness’ in the honor of the 20th anniversary of the republic of Kazakhstan among the students of 9-10-11 grades of secondary schools.
The essays should be submitted within the period of 25.03.2011-30.10.2011. the results of the contest will be announced on november 25 at www.katev.kz.
The regulations of the contest:
1. The participants should send their essays within one-month period to info@katev.kz or katev This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
2. The participants should be the students of 9-10-11 grades only.
3. The essay must be typed in Times New Roman, size 12 in digital version.
4. The essay should NOT exceed two pages in A4 paper format.
5. The participant must include his/her grade, school, contact telephone number, address and an e-mail in the additional page.
Directions of the contests:
1. I’m in love with you, my country! (poetry genre)
2. When told about homeland, to my mind comes… (reflective essay)
3. Motherland – history, Motherland – language. (essay)
Authors of the best essays will be rewarded.
1 place – computer
2 place – digital photo camera
3 place – mobile telephone
Those ones who will not be able to get prize-winning places will be rewarded with special consoling prizes and diplomas.
