135 KTL students were awarded grants of NU

Since obtaining our independence, great progress has been achieved in our society. Among these, there are new educational institutions of secondary and higher education aimed to enhance education in the country. Furthermore, Presidential scholarship `Bolashak` was founded too. Thanks to this programme, a lot of young minds have acquired high quality education abroad and are being at service to their country nowadays.   This year another pleasant surprise arrived for the benefit of our people, that is a new Nazarbayev University. The new university targets to host a modern powerful scientific infrastructure aimed at performing innovative research practice. The most sophisticated national and foreign researchers were invited and all the necessary conditions have been provided for their benefit.The new university of Astana has made contract agreements with the world’s top-rated universities. Among them there are UCL(University College London), PHMI (Partners Harvard Medical International Inc.), UPMC (University of Pittsburg Medical Center), Duke University, Carnegie Mellon, National University of Singapore, University of Wisconsin-Madison etc.
In accord with Kazakhstani govenment’s decree #384 accepted on May 6, 2010, 500 educational grants were assigned to the new university. 500 students are going to attend the Foundation courses this year. Out of this figure, 135 is the number of kazakh-turkish high schools students.
